PRO & EXPERT PAYOUTS

Click Here to see what classes qualify to receive Cash Payouts

Note: Major change in payout structure MUST READ!!

The Hot Water Tour will be doing a change in the Pro-Am and Expert class “Payout Layout” meaning we will be giving out cash payouts in these classes differently than we have in the past. We will no longer have 50% payouts after every round of the tour. Instead, after every round of the Hot Water Tour, half of the 50% Guaranteed payout of the classes’ entry fees will go towards an “Overall Championship Prize Purse” and the other half will be paid like usual the Sunday following the event. This “Overall Championship Prize Purse” will continue to build after each round of the Hot Water Tour. At the season finale, the “Overall Championship Prize Purse” will be released to the winners of the tour. The winners will be determined by there best 6 out of 8 round points plus 1 point for every racer in there class. The structure will be very similar to the National High Points structure.

Note: The payout money will be put in a third party escrow account and will not be commingled with Hot Water Tour Productions, Inc.

“Overall Championship Prize Purse” example:

Pro-Am Ski Stock
10 entries per Round for 8 Rounds = 80 Total entries at $100.00 per entry = $8,000.00

25% of $8,000.00 = $2,000.00 paid out the Sunday after each event

25% of $8,000.00 = $2,000.00 will be put into and escrow account and given out to the Top 3 at the season finale

At the season finale, the OVERALL Champions would receive the following checks at the awards ceremony:

1st PLACE - $1,100.00
2nd PLACE- $600.00
3rd PLACE - $300.00

The payout will also be a direct result in the number of entries in that class.

-If there are more than 90 entries in a class top 5 will payout.

-If there is between 90-81 entries in a class top 4 will payout.

-If there is between 80-40 entries in a class top 3 will payout.

-If there is between 39-20 entries in a class top 2 will payout.

-If there are less than 20 entries in the class its winner takes all. (WARNING: If a class has less than 20 entries throughout the season there is a good chance it will be eliminated for the 2009 season.)

The more entries in the class, the bigger the payout. Encourage your buddies to come and race against you.

Staying consistent on the tour will be a major factor in your overall point’s standings. This also makes a bad weekend less detrimental as you can make up for this bad weekend throughout the entire tour and still receive the maximum payout amount since overall championship points determine who splits the “Overall Championship Prize Purse”, not the points earned that particular round.

The overall champions will be determined like this:

DETERMINING OVERALL CHAMPIONS

To determine overall class champions, racers earn points depending on the final position in each Watercross (Closed Course) class.  The 60 points for a win points system will be used for all Watercross plus bonus points for however many racers there are in that class. (A win with 10 riders in a class would be 60 plus 10 = 70 total points) Overall championships are based on the points earned from 6 out of 8 events. We will only count your best 6 rounds. Freestyle points are scored separately to determine an overall champion.  Riders must attend a minimum of 6 rounds to be eligible for an overall award and there is NO minimum riders required in the class to receive an award.

NOVICE & AMATEUR CASH PAYOUT

The Hot Water Tour will be giving a payout to Novice and Amateur racers. For the first time ever ALL NOVICE and AMATUER racers will receive a CASH payout. This means 80% of our classes have a chance to win CASH. No other tour in the world is offering this type of return to its racers. It is our belief that the racers that stay committed to the Hot Water Tour deserve something in return that’s why we have decided that the top 3 Novice and Amateur Class racers will receive up to $350.00 payout per class.

The overall champions will be determined like this:
